The Queen Theatre

Friends & Patrons of the Queen Theatre,

Queen Theatre was launched October 17, 2010, in response to demand for quality performances and educational opportunities for youth in a positive, encouraging environment within our community.  It’s a labor of love for the hundreds of actors and theater supporters who have gotten us this far.  However, community theater is hard to sustain in this economy, so we’re urgently asking for your support.

Here's the harsh reality...In order to begin tech week for Alice In Wonderland Monday morning at 11a.m., we need to generate the kind of momentum it will take to sell out the shows. We know that most family and friends have not bought their tickets yet, so we ask that you do that this weekend so we can accurately determine whether we should go forward with this production and more importantly, Queen Theatre itself. 

What can you do?


1.      Buy tickets to Alice in Wonderland – We are currently selling tickets to the six (6) productions of our season finale show in The Linda & Archie Dunham Theater at Houston Baptist University, located at 7502 Fondren Road, Houston, TX 77074.  See our YouTube page for videos on Alice, get more information about the show, the cast, and performance dates HERE; and then buy your tickets HERE

2.      Forward the Link About Alice in Wonderland to Your Friends – Know some theater lovers? No promotions are as powerful as word-of-mouth advertising, so please take a moment and share those links with your friends and colleagues. If everyone on this distribution list sends it to just 10 people, we can expand our network by 9,000!

3.      Donate – Yes, I know everyone is asking for donations, but if everyone simply logs on to and pledges just $10, that will keep our doors open for many more days, hopefully years! Donations greater than $200 receive a receipt for the tax deductible donation from us.  That link includes a video which explains what the production costs are, and why they are so high.

The fact that you’re reading this e-mail means you care about quality community theater. Can I appeal to you to just take a few more minutes and help keep the Queen Theatre’s doors open? We’ve had many great accomplishments this past year including--

  •  Summer camps for children
  •  Scholarships for children
  •  Three successful shows (Treasure Island, Little Women, Romeo & Juliet)
  •  Countless community appearances 
  • Provided a platform for children to raise money for a certain cause.  See this video to learn of one of them HERE.

And we have exciting plans for next season, more volunteers on board, and many sponsors in the works. We know we can continue producing quality performances and providing educational opportunities with your support.
