A Valentine's Day Story

Louisa Sandoval and many volunteers put together Valentine's Day baskets every year and distribute them to domestic violence shelters. This year, the Fort Bend Women's Center was added to their list. The story behind this tradition is as rich and beautiful as the baskets themselves. Read Louisa's Story


Kara's Story

Kara had been repeatedly abused by her husband. Since arriving at the Women's Center, Kara and her child have been able to join a re-housing program and she has pursued higher education. Read Kara's Story

I'm keeping my letter short this month because we have so much to share with you! We are busily preparing for our largest fundraiser of the year, Boogie, and have just wrapped up everyone's favorite pajama party - Giggle. Our PennyWise Resale Centers are introducing consignment items into the stores and will be launching an eCommerce site in April. The Women's Center is all abuzz with activities that will help with much needed funds for our programs and services! Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.

Boogie 2013 - Happy Days in Your Classic Chevrolet: A Tribute to Classic TV

March 23

Happy Days are here again! It's time to Shake, Rattle and Roll at everyone's favorite 50's shindig - Boogie! Come dressed as Lucy, Ricky, Gilligan, Beaver Cleaver, Perry Mason or any of your favorite classic TV stars of yore. Attendees will be treated to delicious BBQ, the electric sounds of Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes, a live and silent auction, costume contest and pure fun! Don't miss this annual tradition!

Zumbathon - Saturday, February 23

Get your Zumba on! XtremeDANZ is hosting a Zumbathon benefiting the Women's Center from 2-4 pm this Saturday in downtown Rosenberg. Win prizes, dance the afternoon away and support a great cause! More details

PennyWise and Donations 

Donation Drives

We've partnered with some of your favorite stores and gyms to make it even easier to drop off your donations! The following locations will be collecting PennyWise donations during February:

Consignment and eCommerce Coming in April!

Starting in April, we will accept furniture and houseware decor on consignment. Make a little money and help support the Women's Center!


We will also launch our new eCommerce site in April. Stay tuned!

Giggle 2013

Thank you to everyone who came out and made Giggle 2013 the biggest success yet! Your support will help the many survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children that the Women's Center serves.
